Ring wired vs Google Hello. Both are amazing products. Ring is a better value. Google hello can cost 5 times as much as the ring wired. Installation is simple. Ring's QR code is read better by camera phone. Google Hello response time is faster and the audio is outstanding. If you are on wifi ring is quick. ring has choppy audio. Ring can be installed anywhere with optional 16v ac wall power transformer. I installed my ring on a sling glass door. The ring is almost universally recognized as a video doorbell. the Google hello is well build but people still do not know it is a doorbell that needs to be pressed. I like the ring and wish it was wifi 5G compatible (it is only 2.4G compatible) which means that our microwave interferes with the signal.
We had a battery Ring doorbell and the wired unit is 1000% better, with a better camera too. I have installed google hello's at professional business offices where response time is very important. but, for residential consumers the ring is a power house of features and gives an added since of security.

Installing was easy
The hardest part was removing th eold OEM wiper locking ring. It was aluminum on the steel rear motor shaft with lots of oxidation. I cleaned it with a wire brush and installed the new arm with RTV silicone.
New TomTom MKII Bluetooth Wireless GPS Receiver SiRF Star III 3 StarIII 9T00.001

Works with LG G5 LS992 Android v7
Took me a while to get the GPS to work with the phone because I had to download another app (Bluetooth GPS v1.3.7) and setup the phone to use the app as a mock GPS location (under Developer options: Select mock location app). The thing is that you have to keep [LOCATION], [BLUETOOTH], and [DATA] all on for WAZE to work, but WOW! it works better than any phone based GPS. The TomTom unit has an internal battery and sometimes can take as long as 5min to lock on to GPS location. It usually only takes 30sec to 1min to get 2-meter GPS location solid. I found out that if you download your google map at any mobile wifi hot-spot you can use Google-Maps to navigate without a working cellular connection. It is a good tool for UBER and LIFT drivers that need accurate GPS all the time. The newer GPS units are faster, but not no more reliable than this unit. I tested in downtown Chicago and areas where my phone would get no GPS signal (lower wacker drive) This TomTom unit worked well. I give it 80/100 because of the really long initial setup connection. All and all a grate value for only $23.
