This is a fantastic cookbook using Crisco....yes, it was around way back then. I love all the hints for ladies without a servant and those with a servant and their suggestions about what uniforms to supply. Really!!!! I come from the people who would have been the cooks and the maids and housekeepers, In fact, my grandmother worked as a cook/servant for the Lindberghs when she lived in Minnesota. I'm just glad we have so many helpful things in our lives now and we don't have to kill, clean, and cook chickens or other fowl. I'd have to be a vegetarian. Great book. I think Crisco should get it and re-issue it up to date. It would be great for comparisons.
