Magnolia Home Off White Shiplap Wood on Sure Strip Wallpaper MH1559

Looks like the real thing!
I purchased this wallpaper mainly because of the Magnolia name, I figured if Joanna had a hand in designing it, then it must be good! I used this as a wall treatment in my basement, going only about 1/3 of the way up, then used chair rail trim at the top. It has fooled everyone, looking very much like actual planks. I would be careful when hanging it for 2 reasons. First, the instructions say to lightly mist it with a spray bottle of water. That didn't work at all, so I went back to my tried and true method of dipping it in water and I booked it, even though it said that wasn't necessary. The next point is to look closely at the edges...there are slightly thicker gray lines at certain "planks" and I didn't notice that until I had hung two rows. It was noticeable, but not so much that I had to redo it. You'll want to cut your next strip so that the heavier gray lines match up to the previous strip. It made for a bit of waste but looks so much better, giving the planks the staggered look that real wood would have. This was an easy, economical way to get the shiplap look without the work and commitment of real wood (which I've done, too!)

Worth a listen!
I listened to this book on audio and was hooked from the first tape. The main character, Chloe, is a young woman living in New York and preparing to take the bar exam when she is attacked in her apartment by a man wearing a clown mask. He rapes and brutalizes her for hours and she barely survives. 12 years later she is living in Miami and is a prosecutor who lands a case in which the police think they've caught a serial killer. When the accused gets angry during a hearing, Chloe knows she's heard that voice before and finally meets her attacker...this could be her chance to send him away forever, but nobody can know what happened in New York, especially this criminal or he may walk free. Absolutely wonderful writing, the author is (or was) assistant state attorney in Florida, and writes from experience. Highly recommended and wonderfully narrated by Kathe Mazur. I purchased this on ebay and had never heard of the author, but will look for more of her work.
