Excellent
Excellent, I was expecting something that is not working for this price, but this one was fully functional.

Great portrait lens
I have a K/L 150 f/4, the K/L 250 f/4.5 suits me more especially in portrait shots. The only down side of this lens is that it doesn't close focus like the K/L 150 f/4 does. But I like the field of view of this lens more. In terms of sharpness I can not say too much, cause I've not developed any of the rolls that I've shot with this lens yet.

I love this camera
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second Nikon FE and this one is much cleaner then my current one.
When I've received the camera the exposure needle was stuck, the film door pin was bent so the door was wiggling and the focus screen was B-Type which I found very hard to focus with.
I've fixed all of the problems very easily, fixed the exposure needle with a tweezers, fixed the film door pin, replaced the focus screen with a K-Type and replaced the batteries with a new set and voila, it is ready to go.
I bought this camera because it was cheap and I've heard that it has unlimited exposure feature and I loved it. The view finder magnification is x0.83 which is much much bigger than my D600's but the coverage is %93 which is relatively small.
The camera is cleverly designed. The way the exposure compensation knob is placed over the edge of the ASA knob is very clever, because it actually turns the ASA dial internally which makes things simple in terms of mechanical design. But I've found the exposure compensation knob in wrong side of the camera.
Doing AE-Lock is again done in a clever way by pressing the self timer lever towards the lens. The only downside is that you will not receive a feed back through the view finder, that is the needle will keep jerking around even if you locked the auto exposure to a certain value.
The way that the selected exposure and the auto exposure shown in the view finder is again very clean and clever.
Older Nikon lenses and newer lenses like Samyang brand lenses have aperture rings. But the interesting part is that the aperture ring has two sets of aperture values printed on it. The smaller ones are for f-number peeping window through viewfinder and I think it is the most clever design I've ever seen, which again makes things simple and effective.
By the way I use this camera with my Samyang 85mm f/1.4 lens without any problem. The aperture value is passed to the camera properly (through the aperture lever) and the metering works fine.
Also when you use the self timer, the mirror is locked up as soon as you hit the shutter release button, this helps removing shake introduced by the mirror.
Using this camera is a joy. I've never shot film before and still not processed any of the rolls yet, but I know they are going to be all right.
The only thing bothering me is that the exposure needle is not visible if you are in relatively low light.
I definitely recommend this camera to anybody interested in film photography.
