Great, versatile, Camera
1 of 1 found this helpful This really is a fast, and versatile, camera which is a pleasure to use. I have owned, and used, quite a few Sony cameras including the much praised Sony A7Rii, and I have found that the Sony A77ii gives the best 'bang for the buck' in terms of speed, versatility, image quality, and, particularly, ergonomics.

Great budget lens
Although the lens feels plasticky if it is just the quality of the images that matter (and it does for most people) this lens focuses very well, and is very sharp with lovely bokeh. Overall it is a great lens for the money.

Mostly good
This is a good camera. However, the shutter mechanism on mine jammed after just 10,000 actuations, and had to be replaced. Fortunately it was still under warranty, and was fixed free of charge (apart from the inconvenience it caused me). Apparently this shutter jamming is not an uncommon problem with this camera so I would recommend buying with warranty.
