I Just Joined The Wonderbolts!
It's amazing how a toy can make you love characters in a show even more then you already do. I bought this because Captain Spitfire and Soarin looked like decent show accurate figures with allot of articulation (highly poseable). I did go back and fourth, hesitant to pay over $30 for this product because in the box the jet boot style wing device looked a little well, fun for kids, but not exactly the look I would care to display. I was pleasantly surprised with just how cool this accessory/ vehicle is. It is well worth the extra money. It has several different cool sound effects you might think to find on a Transofrmers Decepticon Jet figure, not anything having My Little Pony in the title, including metallic transformation, engine revving noise and afterburners with a little "yahoo" by either Dash or Spitfire I'm guessing. The vehicle's features are activated by the side button on the exhaust cloud. The button deploys the folded back wings and activates the motion sensor that plays one of the sound FX as you move the toy around. As far as I can tell most of the sounds are activated at random by your movement. I would prefer a little more control as the FX does not always match my movements. but that's a minor inconvenience.

Optimus not optimal Prime
I'm a big fan of the new Optimus Prime look, and this truck captures it brilliantly. The flame job is not entirely accurate to the movie character and the smoke stacks are facing forward instead of back. I can forgive the flame paint job not being entirely accurate, but putting the stacks on backwards is just incompetence. I really wanted to give this 5 stars but could not do so in good conscience. I thought I might be able to take the stacks off and switch them around, but the side of the stacks facing the cab has a giant hole in the back. So, one would have to cut off the top of the stacks and turn them around and glue them back on the right way. I payed too much to risk destroying this model, so the stacks remain backwards. It's a minor defect on what would have been a near perfect 1/24 scale truck.

Good for play or spare parts.
This truck is highly detailed and mostly accurate. I would have given it four stars if it weren't for one issue. Commercial vehicles and flat bed wreckers require a collision bar on the back of the truck. Otherwise, a car slamming into it from the back would slide up under the box and the driver of the car would be made considerably shorter. This truck would be a danger to any motorist behind it. I highly recommend this as a toy or in my case, for spare parts for another New Ray rig. The parts are durable and highly detailed. The box has opening doors so a child can put things into it. Small parts will come off so I suggest your child be of an age that they know not to put tiny plastic chrome things in their mouth. As a collector, I cannot fully recommend as it is not accurate to trucks on the road today.
