Used this ore car to make a small wintertime consist for plowing and ice clearing
Decided to make a small tunnel-ice-clearing train consist drawn by a Lionel Milwaukee Road 2-4-2 motorized switcher-plow, tailed with a smoking Milwaukee Bunk car, and using this ore car as the ice breaker, having cut and painted dark blue a wedge of foam as melted ice, and addng shards of white foam floating atop, and adding an ice-breaking construct to it. Having built a long tunnel, this fit right in for the winter months.

Nice "change-up" on layout for kids who like playing with cars, too.
While this product design isn't "scale", it is a design often seen doing inspection on real railroads. That "realism" coupled with its electronic forward/neutral/reverse switching unit provides a good value for a unit that provides a "change-up" of interest in something to occasionally run on your layout. Sort of Matchbox meets Lionel for young ones who delight in playing with cars, too.
Bought one for each family with grandchildren.
