The description says that fits the VP1550 model, well my VP1550 model must to be different. This very good quality recoil starter as 4 holes to mount on the compactor housing, however my compactor housing as only 3 holes. I work on cars for living so it was no problem for me to rearrange re-drill and make it work. Overall it is a very good quality but make sure you check your mounting holes.
