Blemished beauty.
It's a bit torn in places but I mounted it on a sturdy surface, and it has served it's purpose and I do love it.

Superb control of narrative powers; a tour-de-force.
Pearl Buck's prose is utterly compelling; her descriptive powers command your attention and her talents at building character are uncanny. She puts you squarely in the lives of her people, which is no small task. The Good Earth is confidently paced and balanced, and it's not at all difficult to see why she won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
