Solid Tax Software
1 of 1 found this helpful I have used TT since they first began their business. I worked just down the street in San Diego and visited their building to find out what was going on. As a CPA, I was immediately happy to see such software.
Unfortunately, the US Government keeps passing silly tax rules that impact TT and cause a lot of grief when using the software.
The one are that is of concern is how to get the foreign tax credit. One has to jump around in circles to get it done. Despite my having to use the Standard Deduction, TT keeps putting it as part of the itemized deductions on Sch A. Well, kind of silly to have that occur.
It is very difficult to get the credit. I have send emails to TT to get this fixed using an easy method instead of the many hurdles as is currently happening.

OK notebook with a few flaws.

Is it well designed? Mostly yes, however the keys and back lighted keyboard and keypad in silver makes it very difficult to "see" the keys. Much better when it is darker or at night.
Since I have only had this notebook for under 3 weeks, I cannot opine on whether the battery life is really good or bad.
It is certainly not lightweight. My scale shows 4.5 pounds which is not lightweight IMO.
I knew I was walking into a hornet's nest when I saw it uses win 11. As usual, the people at MS manage to make life far more difficult that can be imagined. I tried to so a simple load of CD's to burn using the media player. Can't get this system to work. A bunch of simple stuff on Win 10 is mucked up on Win 11. I realize this is not the fault of HP. Just wish I had spent the money bot an apple.
