ABC Lexicon II - WOW!
The fact that Martin Fry went back alone without the original line up to do a sequel to the iconic album Lexicon is in a lot of way very forward thinking than backward ! The look is a play on the original cover, it had little refrains in instrumental clips like before so the look and feel has it down where it makes you notice ! I would honestly disagree that it is a straight up 80’s album as I have heard it reviewed on thing that was popular from Dead or Alive to Pretty boys Duran Duran was that strong bass style called vamping now called slap bass, that to be says 80’s I would say it is nostalgic of that time but the songs are a good mix of what ABC became later and the roots using the strong female vocals, the songs get stuck in your head after a few listens the sign of a hit, had this been the album put up back then it would be hailed as visionary and yielded radio play - if you were a fan of theirs before “Be Near me” you will love this ! If you like 80’d but have moved on it will remind you of things you forgot about it’s really worth your time in any case !!!

"She Never Woke Up" Is worth the price of entry ~
A long needed revamp of Christian Death,the prior records were lacking something since Catastrophe Ballet (aside from the obvious Rozz) Valor gets it right but the production has never been like this and it make all the difference in my opinion in helping his songs come across as I am sure he intended.
"She Never Woke Up" Is worth the price of entry ~ and the CD digi pack is another thing that got lost from LPs to CD's and now MP3's and that's the Art Work ! Very Cool inlays.

BOWIE BLUES
So I kind of let the “Blackstar” album sit knowing it would be the last Bowie that he intended, however knowing he is who he is I’m sure “the lost demos and/or farewell “ album will rear it’s head at some point - but let’s say that’s it ... I saw that this EP had “”Lazarus” I didn’t race to get it as it got a lot of attention and thought the rest might be throw away songs ~ I was mistaken some of the lyrics are so straight about him being sick and knowing it’s over it made me pull over the car as it makes mortality seem like a real thing if you can find a purpose to leave a bit of yourself and it’s all there the good and bad and infinitely sad ! If you don’t have it get it !!!
