NEW Dell Visor Virtual Reality Headset and Controllers for Windows PCs VRP100 VR
    Aug 05, 2018
An excellent alternative to HTC Vive or Oculus Rift.
First off, I brought the product on June 30th 2018. It arrived on July 10th. So far, I have clocked up over 10 hours on it, and have had no problems as of yet. We will start with the controllers. They seem to last an approximate of 8 hours, with the batteries that were included. (Yes, there are batteries included.) The battery cover seems slightly loose, but is not that noticeable, unless you go out of your way to notice it. The overall design on the controller is nice, it's light weight, and seems quite tough (So far I have hit my couch twice, my hard wood shelf thrice, and my father twice.) The button layout is also nice, and reachable with all my fingers just holding the controller normally, no stretching or anything. Now, to the headset itself. The headset is not heavy for me, though I have a large head and neck. The only light that seems through depends on the shape of your face, and will come from the part that goes over your nose. (Again, large head means I don't get that, but I know my others do.) The lenses will fog up if you play for extended periods of time, or have an intense session of say, Beat Saber. Now intense play also equals sweat, and the headset has a covering at the front for comfort, however the sweat can get and make it, well sweaty. So I'd recommend having a sweatband if you plan on anything intense. The headset looks and feels amazing, the resolution of the lens is nice. The one con I have had so far is the IPD (Interpupillary Distance) maximum value is lower than expected. It is set to have a maximum of 67 (Mine is 68, so it's okay for me). But many people have over 70, which makes this hurt their eyes. The only way around it is to go into the code and change it manually. For those worried about their genuine, literal big head. The headset has an adjustable frame. Now, my head is quite big, I physically can't wear any hats smaller than 8 3/4, I can just squeeze my head into that size as it is. Now, I can wear this headset with one adjustment left. So, if you need a hat size of 9 or higher, I'm sorry but you will not be able to use this headset, no matter how much hair you shave off.
