ND868 - Great for Kick, auto EQ

I picked this up after rave reviews from so many ppl. I was not disappointed. HOWEVER - be advised, if your previous beater was plastic or wood to get the 'click' from your old mic, this mic will deliver great click with firm felt. Really, it's EQ'd for easy recording or live use of your kit. Amazing product with perfect thump, too.

18:1 Grover Tuners, Yo 2021!

Hard to ignore 18:1 tuners. Grover fought this for the last 10 years, sad. I’m sure they’re made by Ping but such is economics and an American company trying to stay alive in 2021. In my case, my LP had Grovers on it to begin with and I needed to go this way. All the best!

Small Condensor Mic Cage

This is a well made product, IMO, but I only give it FOUR STARS because the bands that support the mic holder are a little stiff. And here I'm suggesting that it does do what it is supposed to do in a general sense - suspend the mic from shocks and bumps - but since the mics (Octava MK-012s) are so small and so light I suspect a good bump would transmit itself to the mic. We'll see. Also note, these cages are slightly larger (not much!) than the diameter of the 012 mic but I added a strip of self adhesive felt to make it a perfect fit. Happy camper here overall. My other options were some Neumann cages that cost $150@! Sorry, I try these first, thank you very much.... :)
