A cheap upgrade to bring new life into an old desktop
My wife was complaining that she hadn't access to a computer at our house, and that she needed to drag her work laptop back home all the time. So I found an old desktop out in the garage that I brought back to life with more RAM, a 160GB hard drive and the Pentium 4 2.4 processor. It initially had a 1.6 GHz P4, which was a little weak, so I decided to go for the 2.4 GHz. A nice upgrade over the 1.6, but not as hot as the fastest P4 CPUs. With the RAM maxed out to 2GB, this computer now runs XP just fine and it is good enough when my wife just needs to use a computer for simpler tasks and surfing.

Universal pulley, fits other cars as well
I bought this pulley for use on my E39 5-series BMW. I got a noise from a multi belt pulley last fall, so wanted to replace it. But in later years BMW has changed the type of tensioner used for the multibelt on this specific engine. So no individual parts were available, only a complete rebuild kit with tensioner, pulleys and brackets, for converting to the new type of tensioner. A waste, it seemed, as long as my tensioner still works ok. So on a forum I found a link to this part number and it turns out this is indeed the correct pulley. The old pulley was INA branded as well, so I suspect that's the OEM brand.

Good service kit for Bosch water cooled alternator
These alternators are pretty expensive new, or even used, so this represents a good alternative. The kit contains all the components that can wear out, bearings, front cover with rectifier bridge and the voltage regulator. I'm not familiar with the brand of voltage regulator, and I did this job only a month ago, so it remains to see if it will last. Worst case you can reuse your old Bosch one. I have no reason to doubt the quality of the rest of the kit, though. Also be aware that you need access to a special puller and a hydraulic press to remove and reinstall the bearings. I'm a mechanic, so it was an easy task, but if you don't know what you're doing, don't risk messing up your alternator. Let someone else do it. Also be aware it's two sizes, 150A and 180A. The size is printed on the plastic front cover.
