Beautiful album
1 of 1 found this helpful Really fantastic album with a great sound. "Only With You" might be one of the most beautiful songs ever made. It's a shame it was never released outside of Japan, despite the entire album being in English, likely due to it being a soundtrack (to a movie which is also in English but was only released in Japan) or due to record label constraints. In the liner notes (which are in Japanese but I was able to read with Google Translate), Tatsuro explains that he had hoped his music would get attention overseas but it sadly remained "just a dream". Thankfully with "Plastic Love" (which Yamashita produced) and "Ride On Time" gaining so much attention on YouTube (as well as "Magic Ways" from this album), this dream is finally coming true after over 30 years.
The A side of this album is composed of original songs composed by Tatsuro Yamashita and written by Alan O'Day, while the B side is mainly covers of songs written by Brian Wilson (which are also very well done in my opinion) with the exception of the last track. Bonus tracks, such as instrumental versions of some of the songs, are also included with the 30th anniversary rerelease.
While this may not be the most experimental or thought-provoking album ever made, I still consider it a huge favorite of mine and I highly recommend it.

Only 1 port works
Only one of the USB ports work, specifically the middle one. The other ones do not. Still works well as an extension cable but is NOT a hub like it claims.
