Did not work for me
I tried the device on three different computers, a laptop screen, a Dell 2412m, and a Samsung LCD TV. In each occurrence the device failed to calibrate correctly and leaving an intense red cast. I tried it with the supplied Blue Eye software as well as DisplayCAL on Windows 7. I can only conclude that my item has a faulty sensor. It seems, despite being new, to have been "rotting" on the shelf.

Works fine in Lenovo T530!
1 of 1 found this helpful I was not fully certain it could be practically used in Lenovo T530, and initially it was not recognized.
After applying the last T530 Lenovo firmware it started fine.
I could no longer get the T530 to charge the battery using the small 65W Lenovo Power adapter, but the sensible 90W worked fine. (We don't need to use the gigantic 135 or 170W adapters.)
Therefore it is a very sensible upgrade provided you find the CPU at reasonable cost. If you have an QC i7 above 2.3GHz already it may not provide the best value for money. But for a DC i5 it is well worth it. With the Nvidia 5400 option is also recognized in Lightroom for GPU acceleration.

Upgradability and flexibility
2 of 2 found this helpful I wanted the T530 for three reasons:
Large case to accommodate cooling for an i7-3940XM extreme edition CPU (3.0GHz Quad Core)
Express card slot for eGPU (GTX 770)
Nvidia 5400 for Optimus optimization of eGPU
I also added 16GB RAM and 960GB SSD
Hence the machine is fine as it is, but the upgrade potential is what mattered most to me.
Newer machines will usually have slower CPU, or other compromises on these aspects.
Will use it with external monitor mostly
