Phreaking obsessed with transfer rates!
Having suffered with signal drop outs from noise based jamming for several years, I researched the issue and found that the higher band of 2600Mhz (e.g. EE and BT) is more susceptible to overpowering, pulse jamming and other wide-band techniques for hacking. These common techniques can corrupt and potentially damage mobiles and network hardware. This phenomena is called 'Phreaking'.
Using an operator which operates its 4G network on the 800Mhz spectrum often requires a Booster to increase performance (e.g. O2 and Giff Gaff). This Booster was tested to show an increase in the signal strength of ~10dBi which was similar to using antennae at £2 (That's the equivalent of 2 bars raised to 3 bars). This gain is much less than that advertised! However, on the up side, the TS9 connections fit better and fall out less easily. Also, with the long cable that comes with this Booster, you can position the Aerial higher. Internet speeds at -77dBi were around 6Gb/s both ways which is much less than on the 2600Mhz band but I have not had the same issues with connection reliability or device corruption / overheating since.
If you find that you have signal fluctuations similar to that in the image below (shown for a ubiquitous 2400Mhz band) then you should read ISBN 9781452804088 and consider Boosting a lower band or moving.

Bitlocker and updates not (easily) supported - Forums no longer helpful.
I purchased the Ultimate version for the Bitlocker encryption (specifically). However, my TPM module (Version 2.0) was not supported by this version of Windows and the Microsoft site recommended Windows 10 after pulling the Hotfix from the support site (stating they no longer support this version). I have also had trouble with the IE10 browser as well, and intermittent internet access on other browsers I've tried (including Portable browsers). I have not found the solution to this problem (either) but many report fixes for internet settings, including; Proxy and DHCP services within Windows 7. I have spent to many hours already on this so have just accepted the partial fix / workaround.
I was intentionally aiming to avoid Windows 10 and use Windows Ultimate for a gaming Rig. However, I am starting to remember the issues I had long ago with Windows in this version (Professional).
Otherwise, the Software was fine (until that is when I wanted to update Windows Defender). Again, this didn't work initially, and took several weeks to accept the automatic update.

Not suitable for router installations
0 of 3 found this helpful The sliding top panel provides easy access to the Sim and SD Card ports with the added convenience of TS9 sockets for antennae on the side. Connection requires inbuilt software / driver installation and web browser confirmation page. This Modem dongle did not work in my router only my Windows 10 PC operated directly from the USB port. I got a good reception strength from ee relative to my phone reception and the dongle didn't overheat like the phone does on tethering. The dongle is quite large similar in size to the old form of WiFi dongles and therefore may interfere with other access ports on your PC. It does not come with an extension cable and the box did not look authentic Huawei. There were minimal instructions.
