Marvel Super Special # 18 September 1981 Raiders of the Lost Ark. The official comic book adaptation of the George Lucas/Steven Spielberg classic, introducing Indiana Jones. Written by Walt Simonson, with art by John Buscema and Klaus Janson. Story later reprinted in Raiders of the Lost Ark #1-3 and Marvel Movie Spotlight #1. Full color; 68 pages. Painted cover by Howard Chaykin. Cover price $2.50 THIS IS THE FIRST APPEARANCE ON THE "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK" mythology of characters including Indiana Jones and is very worthwhile to consider as an investment if you can grab a VF or better copy for less than $100 and save it. Additionally consider getting your raw books encapsulated if looking 9.6 or better. The comic grading ponzi scheme is coming to a head and in the aftermath of this debacle will be limited grading capabilities so consider that when speculating.
