Excellent Classic Work on Violins
1 of 1 found this helpful A classic old work, first published in the 1880's, that still contains much valuable information about violins, their history, and construction. It's also an antiquarian's delight, full of interesting fiddle information that was current in the late 19th century, and remains of historical interest today. Heron-Allen's style is delightful and amusing. He was a young man in his twenties when the book first appeared, and he did himself proud with an informative and stylish book that's been in print ever since.
Recommended.

Great camera
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought an X-Pro1 because I wanted to have a lighter camera bag than my current collection of Nikon iron. The camera gives remarkable photos used with either Leica M lenses (with an adapter) or native Fuji autofocus lenses. The colors are saturated and sharp, and to my eyes are superior to those I get with a Nikon D7000, which has a comparably sized sensor. Highly recommended!

NIce!
This is a nice, fairly conservative chronograph.
I bought mine 1 1/2 years ago and it's still on its original battery. The strap is made of very sturdy nylon web; it can be washed in cold water with a little soap. (It comes out great.) The watch is very accurate and looks stylish in a quasi-military way. The stainless steel case has a matte finish, in a titanium color. Although it doesn't show well in the picture, the dial is deep olive green with orange accents.
I like mine a lot; out of seven watches i own, it's the one that's on my wrist most of the time.
