truly excellent sound, features, and value
1 of 2 found this helpful The nr1200 by Marantz represents EXCELLENT value and downright excellent performance and superb sound. It is amazing at the pricepoint... AND it is full featured with lots of hookups incl. hdmi, subwoofer management, a STREAMER, a TUNER, and plenty of power for almost anybody. I simply sounds beautiful. Plus, it has easy to use bass, treble, and balance knobs right on the front panel: NICE. I compared this nr1200 to three other highly regarded vintage pieces from Marantz, Pioneer, and HK, and a more recent (2007) Pioneer Elite, and the 1200 easily trounced all the vintages and at least matched the Elite, for less money and with all the modern hookup options, and in a smaller form factor. A truly impressive offering from Marantz. Bravo.

Excellent light weight two-piece oars
Excellent and lightweight oars, easy to disassemble and reassemble... if you're looking for a two-piece oar set, this one works well, fine for any sort of 16" Lund or Alumacraft fishing boat, for example, and probably just fine for a bit larger, maybe up to 18" aluminum

smooth natural open clear
The venerable and classic Epi100: excellent clear natural sound... non-fatiguing... handle any type of music. Subwoofer NOT needed. Famous, unsurpassed tweeter. Excellent dispersion, so you don't need to be in any one "sweetspot" to enjoy stereo. Not too big, but big enough to provide natural tight bass without boominess and the tweeter is without shrillness... just smooth and natural sound and construction to simply live with. The epi100 is all the speaker most people will ever need, and replacement parts including the simple crossover, which after 40 years wouldn't be a bad idea to swap out, is available custom-built at HumanSpeakers ... oh, btw, can stand them upright or lay them down literally on a bookshelf (or perhaps mantle); they were designed to be the "ultimate bookshelf speaker".
