Even if you pay $100 for a Bachmann Spectrum engine, in does not guarantee an engine that is comparable to a $100 Atlas.
2 of 2 found this helpful Bachmann n scale engines are a 1 in 5 shot at getting a good one. Quality is not consistent, as one will be great and 5 will be dogs. Parts are no longer available, so you need to buy more engines for parts to keep your rolling stock going. Shell details are really good, so they look great, just poor runners.
