Perhaps Hornby's nicest coaches.
Absolutely lovely coaches. Superb paint work over top quality moldings. Smooth rolling wheels and easy action couplings. Hornby should release these separately.

Exciting real historical action.
Michael Phegley has written an action packed saga of the early American frontier, deftly exploring the conflicting interests of the settlers and the Native Americans. The French and Indian War is excitingly presented from the settlements along the Delaware River, to upstate New York, to the Great Lakes. (He has also provided several helpful maps.) He tells the story through well drawn characters (some historical, many taken from colonial records) representing such diverse groups as the Dutch settlers in the Minisink Valley, the various Pennsylvanian German immigrants, and an especially balanced and sensitive presentation of Native Americans.
But this is not dry history. The characters are always in action and they carry the story. The author’s background as a farmer and lifelong outdoorsman means he gets the details right and that puts the reader in the thick of the action. This story has a real sense of immediacy - the sense of you are there - and moves at a fast pace. Punches are landed, not pulled, and the reader feels like he has experienced a truly interesting period in our history.
Phegley has several more volumes planned and I cannot wait for their release.

One of the best kits ever!
One of the best kits ever! This gem has been around since the 1980s and still is head and shoulders above the vast majority of kits. Fun to build, lots of details, plenty of extras.
