Parts 5 star, iPad 1, in general, not worth much when repaired.
I purchased this item for spare parts in order to fix the same unit that I already owned. My unit died several years ago and I tried to fix it, but instead broke a ribbon connector between the main board and the digitizer. The purchased item had all the parts that I needed. I was replacing a dead battery, that I purchased separately. So, I got what I paid for in a reasonable amount of time.
Unfortunately, the cost of the battery and the spare part unit exceeded the price of a working unit. The other downside of the fix, is that there are very few apps that support the machine.
The good news is I learned a lot by fixing the iPad 1 that I had.

Entirely anodyne and copacetic. . .
The chip was a chip, neither good nor bad. I needed it for an old thing I was fixing. It wasn't any more difficult to buy than any other thing. The person I bought it from sold the part to me, and sent it to me.
No hiccups no problems.
