Good for quick frozen snacks. Beats the toaster oven.
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this "AirFryer" to cook small portions of foods without having to heat up the oven during the hot summer months. I was under the mistaken impression that food prepared in this appliance would be like fried food but it does not come out that way. Make no mistake this is NOT IN ANY WAY A "FRYER". It is a mini convection oven. Food bakes, does not fry, but it is does cook faster and at a lower temperature than regular oven. Think about using this for frozen fish and french fries or other "snacks" NOT making your own fried chicken. I have cooked meat in it and it does OK but find I mostly use it for frozen items that I used to do in the toaster oven. I find it easier than the toaster oven, as I set it and forget it until the timer goes off. Be sure to lower your cooking temperature by 75degrees (from what the cooking instructions say on frozen food) and cut the time in about half (sometimes I add just a min.or two more). If you follow these instructions no worries about burning items like in a toaster oven.
