The Night Hamburg Died.Martin Caidin.
If I have one word for this book it is Excellent.Caidin, writes in such a way as if you were there as a witness to the horrible tragedy that occured in Hamburg Germany July 24/25 1943, when almost 800 British bombers droped 2300 tons of explosive and incendiary bombs on Hamburg city. The book also goes into detial how the bombs caused the fires, that turned Hamburg into a flaming inferno. The fires could be seen as far as a hundred miles or more. The book also shows pictures of how Hamburg look after the fires as well as the condition of the bodies found within the city.
