Works perfectly in SDconnect C4 MUX. Even connects at 54 Mbps in ad-hoc mode when using TP-link TL-WN 8200 wireless adapter on laptop (many will default to only 11 Mbps.)

Good for thick flanges; spoke washers needed with standard hubs.

Spokes are good quality. Transitions between gauges are not quite as smooth as DT Revs/Comps but the Pillars are available in 1.5/1.6/1.8mm main section size with 2.2mm at the bend, so the fit is better in hubs with holes 2.5-2.6mm = less radial slop. DT has some triple-butted spokes (Alpine III, etc.) but the selection is not as good and the prices are higher. The downside is the relatively long length of the elbow (head height); I had to use spoke washers to pull them up tight against the flange on Shimano 105 hubs (.7mm washers for inside spokes and .5mm for the outside ones.) I suspect they would be fine without washers on hubs with really thick flanges.

Nice heat sink.

Clearly a high-quality unit with a heavy-duty heat sink. Pretty good focus in fixtures meant for a normal incandescent bulb, even with so few LEDs. Decent brightness. Not quite the even flood of light you get from an LED array with 2X or 3X the number of SMDs, but if I were planning on leaving the light on for a long time and wanted an LED that would not overheat, this unit would be appropriate.
