Excellent Digital Remaster

Excellent sonics on this "Forever Young" digital remaster of Browne's classic early work. Sound is rich and detailed. A bargain basement price for the sound quality

A decent repressing of Layla

Mobile Fidelity produces quality vinyl, and this lp is no exception. The backgrounds are quiet, and the Fidelity is good. But that's the rub ... this repressing of Layla sounds good. Not great ... just good. I suspect it is the fault of the source tapes, and not the remastering. There is a lack of "depth" and "layering" in the sound. It simply sounds a little "flat" to me. I might be getting spoiled by the exceptional Analogue Productions vinyl in my collection. This lp is not quite up to par with most of my (literally) hundreds of Mobile Fidelity lp's.

Excellent REMASTER of doors signature lp

All you need to know about this 2015 REMASTER is printed on the rear of the case: "Remastered from the original 2-track masters to 96khz 24 bit digital by Bruce Botnick and Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering, Hollywood, California, U.S.A., August 1999" Although it is NOT an SHM-CD or SACD or 32 bit, and although it comes in an oldy-fashioned jewel case (no mini lp) it is STILL a SUPERIOR-sounding HDCD Digital Remaster by Warner Music Japan Oh .. and it is a FANTASTIC BARGAIN at the $ 15.50 I paid ... even with the shipping from Japan.
