Are the perfect no, for the price you can't go wrong. They work great. The clip that holds pliers closed is the only cheap part on them

Sweet!!!
Got my reels just before tournament on California Delta used with 12lb flouracarbon lipless and square bill. Smooth casting great speed. Will buy a few more.
