Great Value
4 of 4 found this helpful Great value; while it's a bit dated at this point, it's still a totally solid full-frame camera. After a few months of use, I only have a couple of gripes. I wish it was set up with a joystick, instead of the D-pad type thing inside the function wheel. I wish it had a dedicated white balance select button, like the 5D, and the autofocus is pretty lacking, also like the 5D Mk II I'm upgrading from. However, I'm not shooting sports, so I'm not really in need of anything fancy as far as AF points go. It would be nice to have the capability, though. Otherwise, I absolutely love it! It's substantially lighter than my old 5D II, which has been surprisingly wonderful, as someone who carries a camera around a lot.

There is no 100-400mm DO lens!
This lens is mis-labeled! There's no such thing as a Canon 100-400mm f4-5.6L IS DO. "DO" stands for "diffractive optics," and you can tell those lenses by their teal ring, in place of the "L" lenses' red ring. There is a 70-300mm DO, and a 400mm DO, but no 100-400. Anyway, the Canon EF 100-400mm f4-5.6L IS USM is a totally solid lens. It's old, and dated, but a great beginner telephoto if you're starting to get serious about stepping up your lens game. There are some known issues with filters, as for some reason the autofocus doesn't play well with a lot of screw-on filters, so it's best to just leave the front element uncovered, with this particular model. Otherwise, I can't think of anything negative to say about it; the newer one is better, of course, but for how old this lens is, it's wonderful!

Solid Drill
One sweet little tough, sharp drill. Good product!
