Basic useful WIFI Router
Not the best router, but a good value at $40, and a good access point.
I use these as extra WIFI Access Points around the house by turning off the DHCP server and ignoring the WAN port, just use the LAN port.
You will need to set the LAN IP address manually to a static value.
This works fine if you have just one subnet in your network.
If you're trying to run multiple subnets, this still works, but the PC from which you manage the router/access point must be in the same subnet as DIR-860L.
If you're a hacker, you can get around this limitation, but if you're using multiple subnets, don't use this router for an access point, use a DAP-1650 instead.

OMRON HEM-608: classic good quality wrist BP monitor
This is an old model Omron blood pressure monitor.
It inflates the cuff, and then measures the BP while deflating the cuff.
More modern monitors now measure the BP while inflating the cuff, but I prefer the old way of doing it.
This old model has a basic memory, it remembers the last 30 or so readings you've taken, but it has no idea of what the date or time is, so it will not tell you when those measurements were taken.
So if you want a fancier memory, get a newer model.
I've had several of these HEM 608 monitors over the last 30 years, for me and family and friends, and I've found them to be very reliable and consistent in their readings.

Great for recovering old 8mm and Hi8 video tapes
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought it for just one purpose: I have some old 8mm and Hi8 video tapes (back from the analog era) that I want to transfer to computer files, e.g. avi or mp4 files, but my old Hi8 camcorder died a long time ago.
I found that trying to buy an old Hi8 camcorder to do this was a little bit of trouble because all the 8mm/Hi8 camcorders are at this point very old and it's hard to find a good working one. For about the same price as a good working Hi8 camcorder, however, you may be able to find a Digital8 camcorder that can also play the old 8mm and Hi8 video tapes, so that's what I did.
The bonus is that the Digital8 camcorder also has a digital out signal that you can connect to your PC to capture the video. If you get an old Hi8 camcorder it's likely to only have analog video out, so you'll have to use a analog video to DV capture card as well as the camcorder: by using a Digital8 camcorder like this one you can eliminate one more external box.
For this purpose, this camcorder works very well.
Do your research before you buy a Digital8 camcorder to play back old Hi8 tapes, however, because not all Digital8 models have this feature.
