We Were the Lucky Ones: A Novel

A great book about a real family during the Holocaust

This is a very well written, family epic, based on a real Jewish family in Poland during the Holocaust. While I knew. the history, this book put me there experiencing what it was like for people in the Polish Ghettos. Very tragic, yet they are survivors, and that helps to ease the pain as you read it. I highly recommend everyone read this book.
