Excellent quality as expected from Akrapovic
1 of 1 found this helpful First of all, thank you to riders-resource, also known as SportbikeTrackGear for extremely quick shipping and competitive pricing.
The exhaust installs very easily on the FZ-09 / MT-09 being a naked bike. You just take off 6 header nuts and 2 pivot nuts near the rear wheel and the stock system is off. The new header goes on first, then the midpipe, and lastly the muffler. The instructions from Akrapovic is filled with detailed pictures and explain everything well, even noting the torque spec for most if not all the bolts/nuts.
Akrapovic also provides you with a bracket, 4 exhaust springs, and to my surprise, some copper anti-seize for your bolts and O2 sensor!
The whole ordeal, taking the stock exhaust off and putting the new one on took approximately 45 minutes and all with basic hand tools. You'll need a 12mm, 14mm, 19mm, and 22mm (for O2 sensor) socket and you're good to go; also, perhaps a torque wrench if you don't trust yourself or are unsure.
The sound from the new system, simply put, is simply amazing and cannot be compared to stock. I'll admit I'm a big Akrapovic fanboy, however, I do have other systems on my other bikes as well, namely Yoshimura who make great systems too. Both are great and I can heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a more aggressive sounding bike (and more power which may require a tune to fully see the benefits).
The bike runs great without a tune which seems to be the case with Akrapovic. They almost always state that a fuel controller/flash/tune is not necessary, however if you want the optimal power and performance for your bike, a tune should be in line.
All in all, the exhaust is well worth the money, especially after the recent eBay promotion ;)

Great helmet
I have never owned a nice helmet before, but I finally took the plunge. I got a great deal on this as it was a display item, but it was practically brand new with tags. So it didn't hit my wallet as hard as it could have.
It it is so much better fitting than my Speed & Strength helmet (true to size measurements) moreover it's SNELL rated and that gives me even more peace of mind if I do go down.
The liner material is better, the venting is better, and the biggest thing I noticed is that it's *significantly* quieter than my older helmet(s). I can actually hear my bluetooth speakers loud and clear now!
I don't think I'd be able to buy a lesser helmet after wearing this one.

No instructions, needed modification to fit
Product was well packaged, but the brackets needed some "convincing" to fit properly. Otherwise, everything works as intended at a very competitive price.
