Fatally Flawed
My first Excelerator was great until I discovered an inexcusable design flaw. The motor is allowed to draw enough current to damage the circuit board, and it doesn't have any internal fuse! That's extremely sloppy engineering. My second Excelerator works great if you don't mind going through the setup process every time you want to use it. After one or two times up and down, it will forget the upper and lower limits. It randomly decides to stop in the middle of opening / closing or tries to push the door further closed or open than it's supposed to go.
I strongly recommend against this model.

Awesome Car!!!
After driving my brother's MR2 for a couple years, I had to buy my own! The 1985-1989 MR2 is the perfect combination of performance, fuel mileage and reliability.
The only performance downside is that the acceleration is not as quick as modern cars, but it more than makes up for that deficiency through its superb handling and braking capabilities. If you are mechanically inclined, there are many different ways to improve the acceleration.
Fuel mileage is excellent, the stock motor can get as high as mid 40s on the highway (my two best would be 41 and 47). Even when you drive this car hard, it still gets mid to high 20s (my worst has been about 25).
As long as you keep up on the maintenance, the MR2 is a very reliable car. I use it to drive to school 200 miles away, and the car has never completely died on the side of the road. It has always been able to make it to the garage under its own power.
For those who are mechanically inclined, or are willing to take it to the shop for regular service and want a really fun ride that is also fuel efficient, the first generation MR2 is for you!!!

No false negatives, plenty of false positives.
So far, it's gotten a lot of false positives, but zero false negatives. I suspect that all the new collision avoidance tech in cars is indistinguishable from police radar, so I'm not sure there's anything that can be done to diminish the false positives. Overall, it's much better than my previous bottom end Cobra, and the false positives aren't nearly as annoying as I expected them to be.
