Good Blade To Start With & Very Affordable
1 of 1 found this helpful If you are new to wet shaving or are coming from a multi-blade disposable razor, this would be a Good blade to start with. Also, if you have sensitive skin, I would recommend this blade. It is very affordable, it has a platinum coating over its stainless steel construction, and us relatively sharp, but not too sharp. My whiskers would rank as though and I managed to get between 6 and 8 shaves before having to replace the blade. Some users have reported more, and a few users have reported less. But the blades are just pennies each, so I do not believe a difference in a few shaves should have a huge financial impact on the user. I had to move on to another Brand of blades because, as I said, my whiskers are pretty tough, and I wanted a closer shave, than what I was getting with the Astra blades.

One of My Favorite Christmas Movies
As this review title's states, this is one of my favorite Christmas Movies. I've had a hard time finding it on DVD in the past and Hallmark does not show it as often as they use to during the Christmas Season. But, I finally found it on eBay, at a very reasonable price. The DVD was brand new, factory sealed. The video and audio quality was excellent and there was really nothing negative to cite, except maybe the countless number of trailers before the movie started, but other than that I really enjoyed the Movie and am very pleased with this DVD. This is truly a "Feel Good" movie with 3 Dimensional characters and excellent performances by the entire cast. I highly recommend this movie, and for me, it would not be Christmas without sitting on the couch with the Mrs. along with a glass or two of eggnog, and watching it. I think this DVD would be a fine addition to everyone's Christmas Movie Collection.

Affordable German Quality & Built to Last
3 of 3 found this helpful U_7I researched many Safety razors before purchasing this Merkur 23C. I purchased a safety razor because quality disposable razors were getting way to expensive; I'm retired and am watching my expenses more carefully now. The Merkur 23C Long Handle exudes QUALITY! I have used it for over a year now, and its fit and finish is perfect; the mechanism that holds the blade in place is as tight as the day I took it out of the box. The razor has a chrome finish, which should resist rust. The razor feels good in the hand when shaving, it has the right amount of weight for me, and provides a very non-agressive angle for shaving; I have NEVER knicked myself shaving with this razor, even when using notoriously sharp Feather blades. In fact if you are coming from using multi-blade disposable razors, the Merkur 23C would be the perfect razor to transition to. However, razors themselves is another matter entirely, and I would recommend researching the different Brands and their customer reviews. I will be writing a review on one Brand of razor blades I have used with this Merkur 23C long handle razor, if you are interested.
