Apt Pupil, pretty good movie.
Not really any dislikes with the movie. Definitely gives you a perspective on both parts. One, the former SS Commandant hiding out in the US for so many years and two, the teenager who found him. Talk about passing the baton onto the next generation. Wished I could have found a mentor like that in my teen years. With the German's life ending and the kid coming into his own learning and utilizing the cold, brazen tactics that were the foundation of the SS, it definitely gives another perspective on the question "were they really that horrible or were the members of the SS so conditioned by their leaders that they felt that they were truly doing the right thing?". Even as bloody and murderous as the attrocities were inflicted by the Germans, the question has to be pondered. Nevertheless, this was an excellent movie with very few low moments. Check it out.
