Fun book
One of my favorite books. The book tells the tale of two sisters Juts and Louise who live in a town that straddles the Mason and Dixon line. Starting with the early 20th century through the 1980s, the book catalogs the adventures and misadventures of the sisters and eccentric residents of Runymead. Chief among them the beautiful aristocratic Celeste Chalfonte a woman with a beautiful lover and a devotion to friends that goes way beyond the usual.

Second book in the series about ancient Greece. Our hero is off to Persia wh meets up with his ex and a famous Argenian general who is now works for the hated Persians. There us murder, spying, a lost treasure, and very fast wedding.

Funny and Provocative
What happens when a poor scholar is asked by Solomon to write a true history of his father King David. He soon discovers investigating truth behind a legend is dangerous. One piece of advice read Samuel 1 and 2 and Solomn's story in Kings before reading the book. You certainly don't have to but it does increase your enjoyment of this satire.
