Roots - The Complete Collection (10 disc set)

I have always loved "Roots"-the book and the mini-series. It is a well-told history lesson that shows Americans the inhumane acts that were perpetuated against the African people. Because it was told in the form of "entertainment", we all read and/or watched it on television. When it premiered in the 1970s, all Americans were captivated by the stories of Kunta Kinte and his decendants. Like it or not, this is a shameful part of our history. I wanted my children and grandchildren to know this story and appreciate the struggles of our African-American countrymen. This collection includes both mini-series and is a powerful, gripping history of Alex Haley's family. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in history or anyone who is just wanting to be entertained.

Forrest Gump

This is a timeless movie that appeals to all ages. We have enjoyed showing it to our grandchildren and my father-in-law has watched it several times. I heartily recommend it.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners

I love these eyeliners! They go on smoothly and last all day. I have allergies and my eyes sometimes water so much that my eyeliner comes off - not these. They are truly waterproof. I have several colors and have used them for a couple of years.
