Great clutch set! Pushing big power and having no failures* (See full review) 10/10 would buy again!
1 of 1 found this helpful Lets face it, 4L60E's are NOT the trans of choice. They're notoriously fragile. These clutches were originally purchased elsewhere and for more money and when mixed with a shift kit, the 2-3 shift was a bit too hard and we were afraid of breaking stuff so we backed off line pressure. BIG MISTAKE.. We ended up burning that trans up trying to get a shift that wasn't going to beat the gear train and truck up. We bought these clutches and redid the trans and LEFT THE SHIFT KIT STOCK.. Stock oil transfer plate (Actually ran a bit more conservative by peening the holes closed and redrilling with a slightly smaller hole than stock), added the accumulators and all the springs back in... This allowed us to run line pressures up further than stock, while maintaining a very nice shift.
Theory: Shiftkit makes the trans shift harder. If you want to cushion the shift a little, you have to back off line pressure, This makes the shift softer, but also reduces the clutches holding power, making for a weak trans and premature clutch failure.
Here's the counter intuitive part.
Stock, or modified mechanically to have a softer shift allows you to raise line pressures to get your firm shift back. This has a side benefit of allowing you to hold more power with the same clutches because the pressure applied to the clutches is much higher than stock.
Add Torque management within reasonable levels and you have a surefire winner.
After installing these clutches and a few other parts with the listed mods to the oil transfer plate and accumulators, the trans has been behind a boosted LQ9 (Cast iron LS2) making 650 wheel horsepower for over a year and has had 0 problems. Fluid is still as red as the day it was put in.

Best tire on the market!!
I've worked in the tire industry for 13 years and have tried tires from all manufacturers including continental, nitto, bfg, michellin, hankook, etc.. i been rolling on some pirelli's that i didnt like for a long time. Just got a set of these after reading reviews and HOLY S#!T!!! They literally eliminate the need for ABS or Traction control!! I beat em pretty good in a 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS (you know, the 430hp 6 speed manual beast of a car!) And i can BARELY get scratch on a 1-2 shift!! The steering response is so refined! Tires dont roll over, and stay suuuuper responsive without becoming twitchy. They dont track grooves either! Launching is epic, as they literally will not let go! Prepped surfaces are a thing of the past. And i did a pull to 150 the other day and stood on the brake pedal to 60mph and the car did a nose dive but abs never came on!! Even in the wet, they drive like its a hot sunny day!! If you think i'm making this up, YOU buy a set and prove me wrong!!!

Works as advertised, external circuitry is unfortunate (12v reg and capacitor) , and smells heavily of mold inside the package and stunk my house up.
The product is accurate in description and works exactly as it says. This is a momentary output however. It will only switch as long as the RFID chip is near the antenna. I've noticed it triggers about 3" or so away from the antenna, so it doesn't need to be right up against it which is nice. You can hide it behind some plastic paneling etc.the 3 stars are because I was a little disappointed that the +12v regulator and decoupling cap for the relay's transistor circuit was externally attached to the harness and not part of the internal circuitry. This makes a mess of the harness. Also, When I received the package it smelled funny. After opening it up, It smells like a bunch of old moldy magazines. It completely stunk my house up. Not cool.. So if you plan on buying this, it will work as advertised, but beware that you may want to open it up outside in a well ventilated area, and throw the wrapping away immediately. It's likely covered in Mold.
