Better than name brand product
I have a Lifeproof case for my phone and used to use their matching phone bracket. I bought a new phone and of course the case didn’t fit since the iPhone 8 is bigger than the iPhone 5. When I went to purchase a new bracket I realized they changed their design concept. Really poor design. I tried it anyway. The “quick release” was anything but, and the mounting square I had to adhere to the back of the case prevented me from lying my phone flat. So I “googled” car phone holders and found this very simply designed bracket for so much cheaper than the other product. It is easy to slip the phone into the bracket with one quick side to side squeeze and the release is even quicker. It’s just one button that releases the spring load and the phone is in your hand. The flexible stem is very long so I actually have it mounted in the little side window so it doesn’t obstruct my view out of the windshield. There is a little bit of jiggle when driving, which is steadier when the phone charger is plugged in. I would give it a 5 star rating otherwise. But it’s really not too bothersome, and I shouldn’t be staring at my phone while driving anyway. 🤔
