Wonderful Coming of Age Story!
I don’t particularly like the tag line “awesome sauce” and hope you change it, but I do love this book. A tree grows in Brooklyn tells a very real story of a family, financially poor, but rich in love and in character. Betty Smith addresses many of the difficult and at times harsh realities of managing a family and growing up poor. She is a phenomenal writer and I recommend that everyone who likes to read put this book on their 100 most important books to read before you can no longer do so. The copy of the book I purchased was in terrific condition.

Highly Recommend for Anyone Interested in the Catholic Mass
Dr. Sri is a phenomenal theologian and an excellent writer as well. The Mass is the centerpiece of the Catholic Religion with levels of complexity for beyond the surface gestures and associated words. Dr. Sri does a terrific job of guiding the reader into the meaning and beauty found below the surface, helping the reader to more fully understand and appreciate the Mass and its place in the Catholic Structure.

Toshiba always seems to come through for me!
1 of 1 found this helpful In these times I have found the search for a sturdy and reliable “boom box” to be a challenge. Without going into the reasons why, I was in search for a portable combo CD player and FM radio. I knew most New models had been cheapened considerably from the vast selection of quality devices of the 80s and early 90s so my expectations now were considerably lower than they would have been back in the heyday. I was not prepared for just how much quality had actually dropped and so I got pretty discouraged and was about to just give up the search for a reasonably priced quality “boom box” when I came across a new Toshiba on eBay. I bought my first Toshiba product in 1970 while serving in the US Military. I dragged that device around everywhere and it never failed to perform. I bought several Toshiba products since and they were always made well and performed flawlessly. So when I saw the Toshiba boom box on eBay I decided to give it a try. When I received it in the mail, I opened it set it up, played my first CD on it and my first thought was “these guys simply do not disappoint”. I am so pleased with this Toshiba device and I have no doubt that I will have many useful hours of satisfactory functionality and sound. It also has a cassette deck. I have a few cassettes left from days gone by so it will be fun to hunt them down and give the deck on the boombox a workout. I am a very satisfied purchaser and I’m quite confident in recommending the purchase of device.
