Laser useless after a dozen or so cuts!
Save your money and DO NOT BUY!!! The biggest asset of this saw is its biggest LIABILITY, the laser. The laser is positioned in a spot where it is hit by sawdust and pitch by the blade and obscures the light. Cleaning it with a soft dampened cloth with dish detergent did not help and using anything stronger may ruin the clear plastic cover. By the way, I contacted Skil and the clear cover is not replaceable. Skil's answer was to replace the laser. REALLY??? I have to do that after every dozen or so cuts??? So much for the 3 year warranty!
