SHOULD HAVE BEEN 5 STARS EXCEPT FOR . . .
1 of 1 found this helpful . . . except for the fact that the used unit was a greasy, dirty mess. The unit is WONDERFUL. And it was a GREAT BARGAIN at $49.
But no one should ship something this messy. It had be sitting in a kitchen where the unit collected a slimy coat of grease. Then mix that with dirt and dust. Then WRAP IT ALL UP IN AIR TIGHT CELLOPHANE WRAPPING and let it sit in a hot warehouse for a few weeks. That's what I was dealing with when I opened the package.
I almost sent it back. But I decided first to see if it worked. And it did . . . perfectly. It was such a great bargain, I thought I would trying cleaning the unit. An hour and a half later, it was beautiful. But it was difficult and careful cleaning. Had to remove the grease and grim without damaging all the exposed controls.
If the ad would have stated: "It works perfectly but needs a very serious cleaning to remove grit and grim" . . . I MIGHT have still bought it since new units run around $118 or so.
But after the long, hard cleaning, I enjoyed one of the BEST cups of home brewed coffee I have every enjoyed.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED.
This is an older model phone we need to add to a set of four we already have. Thanks to the sender for sending detailed instructions explaining how to "pair" this receiver to the our phone system.
