Came with a fixable defect.
It is a good product but came with a defect. The mechanical arm has a worm gear that attaches to the motor by a nut and washer. After a few operations, the nut came loose and caused the arm to stop working. Fortunately it was easy to fix and is operating properly now. Also, it was not really new because it had no invoice from the manufacturer so it had no warranty.

KaliPAK 601 experience
1 of 1 found this helpful The KaliPAK saved me. I was in a cabin miles from the nearest town on a primitive road and the battery in my SUV was too low to start the car. I used the cigarette lighter socket to connect to the battery and within an hour, it was charged sufficiently to start the SUV. It saved me a very long walk to town.
If I were to suggest some improvements: 1 it would be nice to have an MC4 adapter so it could be charged from a larger solar panel for stationary applications. Also, I could not find anyone online that stocked the adapter and 2nd 40 watt panel.
I have the 601 which has a good capacity but the charging from the 40w panel does not keep my notebook running indefinitely. I love the bluetooth app but I have noticed that the charge balance updates in real time but the current capacity updates less frequently. I thought I saw in one of the descriptions that the output switch could be controlled by the app but I have not found a way to do it.
Overall a solid and fairly unique product - well built and works well.

Generally works great but ....
The lock works well with one exception: the automatic geofence unlock could use improvement. If you live in an area where it takes a while to get to your door after you enter the GPS geofence, the lock may not open when you approach the door. You can always use Google Assistant or Alexa to open by voice and you may be able to automatically open the lock with some automation apps.
