Great for streaming
I dropped ATT TV (which is now DirecTV Streaming). However, I purchased this set-top box to use just as a streaming device, because the remote is far better than any remote offered by Roku.
A couple of caveats: My ATT TV account was still active when I set this box up, so I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to set it up without an account. My account was cancelled a few days later, and now the box powers up on the Apps icon, and from there I can get to Fubo, Prime, Netflix, etc. Of course, you also have access to the Setting icon, to select your home network, audio preferences, etc.
The other caveat is that Hulu isn't an option for this device, so if you use Hulu, you'd either need a Roku or some other streaming device plugged into a separate HDMI input on the TV, or you'd need to find another streaming service.
But all in all, I'm very happy with it.
