Perfect replacement.
just put in batteries and go! excellent replacement! our old one had corrosion from junk batteries. this was not an exact replacement, but is excellent anyway. worked without having to program.

other uses
I purchased one of these to replace the 32 year old unit on my 1985 Big Red. it was half the cost of a used oem one for my year model, and was a better looking unit. I spliced it into my oem switch connector and it works and looks great!

Reconditioned, but nice.
This was the best looking steering wheel with the wood and tan that we could find on line. Pictures looked perfect. When we got it, the wood was flawless, but the leather was obviously reconditioned. Looked great from the front, but the back had the wear painted/dyed over. I am not dissatisfied, but I believe that the reconditioning should have been disclosed.
