Very nice, compact amp for practicing electric guitar!!

Definitely sounds great for its intended purpose - practicing electric guitar!! I wouldn't run anything but an electric guitar through it - not a keyboard, not a bass, not vocals. That will not work. This is a great electric guitar amp, meant for practicing electric guitar. One thing I found is that effect pedals also sound great with it if you zero out the E.Q. knobs (12 O'clock). The amp modeling features are fun and diverse, becoming exponentially so with pedals - although the clean, quiet setting is best with multiple pedals. I even use a tube mic preamp with it, and it takes to it nicely as long as I've got the gain and volume under control. I received this amp as a gift, and have been enjoying it for over a year.

Makes my laptop sound incredible!!

This is a great little unit, IMHO. I checked out a lot of different stuff on YouTube with it - different idioms of music, narration, et cetera. Without the headphone amp, the headphones did have more gain - but through the headphone amp, you get way more volume, which you can really crank. I heard more reverb in narration, and digital effects that I had not noticed as much in music. The sound definitely has some tube coloration, but it is overall pretty smooth and warm. If you're looking for something to boost volume and warm up a signal from your laptop (mine's a 2017 Dell Inspiron 5700 Series), this is a great way to do it - just for reference, I used AKG K240 headphones - only 55 Ohms, but driven very nicely with this unit!! The only way I have used this so far is with a NOS gold-plated RCA to RCA into a double 1/4" female adapter to 1/8" male, which plugs into the side of the laptop.

Works perfectly with my M465E

I ordered a Gateway M465E, but the adapter was a few milliamperes short. I ordered this replacement, since the battery was extremely low. Once I plugged it in, all it took was an ATX reset to get the unit going. Now it powers up every time. I know this isn't the most exciting review, but this adapter definitely did the job for me.
