Solid product
Overall it’s very solid with lots of features. Getting it connected is the biggest complaint by many but the key is to set it up on your aquarium with the hoses (I just mocked it up without a full setup just in case). Then prime it, then plug it in. Once it’s running I moved it around a bit to get any trapped air and pressed the prime button a couple times. It won’t allow you to connect to the WiFi until it’s running properly. If it detects much air it will keep resetting. It’s a safety feature. Once it’s running on the aquarium, then connect to its WiFi and go to the specified url. Then proceed with the steps and make sure to check for updates. I ended up setting it up through my own WiFi so I don’t have to keep connecting to its WiFi. Works like a charm if you follow these instructions. If it keeps resetting or turning off and on, something is wrong. Make sure everything is seated properly, make sure also when putting the lid back on it that you clamp 2 sides at a time to get an even seal. I see too many people clamping one side and then another. That will ruin your gasket much faster. The 4 clamps are meant to be closed in pairs. This was one of the best purchases I made especially since I got it on such a good deal. Do I think it’s worth original price? Yes and no. If it came with proper instructions and more media, yes. I like my own media better so to me that’s not necessary, just need proper instructions imo and people would absolutely love this filter. Hope I at least helped someone who got it on a deal and hopes to get it working properly.
