Dry-skin Savior
I run extremely dry and rarely ever powder, but now and again I want to set my eyes. This is talc-free and doesn't bring on any dryness or emphasize texture or fine lines, nor settle into creases. It sets eyes lovely, as promised with impressive wear-time. For combo skin, you most likely will need to touch up in areas where you are more oily. (Particularly Oily folks will definitely need something more oil-absorbent. The absence of talc means this doesn't suit those who need oil-control and so for oil issues, I would not recommend this formulation. )
Melds nicely into skin without looking flat as it does have a slightly satin finish, but I did use Fix+ to restore some dew to my foundation. This will take down more glowy foundation formulations just a tad, so you may want to take that into consideration and use a mist or reserve for the eyes.
It works extremely well on pale skin. If you are porcelain, if you're lighter in skin tone, this will blend out to sheer easily. It does say translucent, but I found it to have a hint of white upon initial application. I'm not sure this is a good fit for deeper skin tones. If you were to use it on a deeper/darker skin tone, I'd definitely use a very light hand, blend and hit it with Fix+. (Touch-ups would be more difficult for darker/deeper skin on the go, however.) Fluffy, soft puff is included which I especially appreciate at this price point per oz.
Never cakey. Does not get patchy. Skin remains soft and hydrated. Photographs nicely. (Pairs well with Hourglass if you want more glow.) If you have wheat allergies, this powder contains Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. Talc and Silica Free, even with a hint of undetectable added fragrance, this was a delight for my sensitive skin. Finely milled which is forgiving with regard to texture, creases, and pores for lighter skin-tones. Pricy powder as a whole, but if you struggle with dry skin (even very dry) or combination that doesn't involve a significant amount of oil....perhaps want a powder to set the eye area, this should work beautifully for those skin types as well as mature/maturing skin and is worth the purchase.
