And old classic reformulated. Not vintage.
Well, this is the latest iteration of Chanel No 5, and I thought it was vintage. It is not.
The Chanel perfume house has reformulated a beloved scent. The number one reason is the ban on ingredients and oils by the IFRA. There is a growing list of ingredients and oils that have been used in perfumes for years that are now flagged by the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) as allergens, therefore causing them to be banned. In compliance with this ban, perfume house has substituted the ingredient for a similar ingredient or remove it all together. The difference in smell can be subtle but often it is not. This is blatant.
All being said, the seller was on time, the fragrance was packaged beautifully. It's just another disappointing reformulation of a classic.

Gorgeous but heavy
The springs are VERY tight, hard to open and close and it's HEAVY. But it is pretty. Working with it to see if I can loosen up the closure a bit.
