Five Stars - This is the first review I have ever written. If I could give this product TEN STARS, I would. Before I bought the Blink Outdoor Two Camera System I did a lot of research. Nearly all of the other systems on the market had one or more of three deal breakers. 1) they were corded and needed either an outlet (outdoors) or to be hardwired. 2) If battery operated they had a very, very short battery life – sometimes less than a week. And 3, they did not have internal storage and required a subscription, usually $5.00 or more a month for external or cloud storage.
Blink cameras are battery operated with a battery life expectancy of up to two years, but the best feature is you can plug in a cheap thumb drive into the system and have unlimited local storage. All the settings can be operated remotely, including motion detection sensitivity and recording time. Settings can be set individually for each camera as desired. You can view, save or delete, all the clips anytime, anywhere. If you don’t need to store videos, you just delete them from the thumb drive.
It took less than ten minutes to install the app on or devices, and another five minutes to install each camera. We liked the system so much, we bought as third camera for our patio door.
